Tuition & Payment

  • How much do lessons cost?
Tuition rates vary between teachers and depend on the length of the weekly lesson. Tuition rates remain the same for online and in-home lessons. Contact the studio director for tuition rates in your area. Studio Director Email: amanda@musiclessonsliny.com
  • What is the registration fee?
There is a one-time $50 registration fee for new students.
  • When is tuition due?
Tuition is due the 1st of the month for all lessons scheduled in that month. A $15 late fee for tuition that is 15 days late. Lessons are suspended for students who have tuition outstanding for more than 30 days.
  • What discounts does the studio offer?
Long Island Music Lessons offers registration discounts for 2 or more siblings that sign up for lessons.
  • How can I pay online?
We partner with Coinhop, our safe & secure Autopay app especially designed by and for music teachers. Our families love the modern ease and convenience of this tuition app. Autopay can be paused or canceled at any time by request. We will send you an email & text link to sign up & add your credit card or bank account information. This is our preferred method of payment.
  • Where should I send a check?
Checks should be made payable to Long Island Music Lessons and sent to 20 Havemeyer Lane, Commack NY 11725. In order for our instructors to focus on your student and the individualized lesson plans please send all payments and paperwork directly to the studio.
  • Alternate payment methods?
The studio accepts online payments from Zelle which is linked to our phone number (amanda@musiclessonsliny.com) or Venmo @longislandmusiclessons. On Venmo, please DO NOT select “paying for a good or service” or they will take a fee from us in which case would have to be added to your balance.
  • What if I need to miss a lesson?
24 hours' notice is required for any lesson cancellations in an email to the instructor & Amanda, the studio director. Lessons canceled within 24 hours are nonrefundable and will not be credited (unless it is an extreme emergency). Students may opt to reschedule or take a lesson via Zoom, Google, Skype or FaceTime. If a student opts to take 4 or more consecutive weeks off from lessons the lesson spot with the instructor will not be guaranteed.
  • Does the studio offer free trial lessons?
We do not offer free trial lessons as we are dedicated to paying each teacher for their time traveling to the student's home for each lesson. However, if a family is not sure they want to commit to lessons right away, they may wait to pay the registration fee until they have decided the teacher is a good fit for them.
  • Additional questions?
Any tuition or billing questions may be directed to Long Island Music Lessons’ Studio Director, Amanda amanda@musiclessonsliny.com
