Halloween Recital 2023

Recital Information

Please join our Halloween Recital 2023

Sunday, October 29th at 2pm 

Half Hollow Hills Public Library

55 Vanderbilt Parkway Dix Hills, NY 11746

 

Students, their families & friends, and their instructor are invited to attend.

 

Our students are encouraged to participate but not required to do so.

Students are encouraged to wear their halloween costumes or festive fall outfits! 

Parents, Teachers & Guests are welcome to dress up, too! 

 

Your teacher will help you pick a recital piece - Halloween or Fall-Themed pieces are encouraged, but NOT required! Students can play any song they wish. 

BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME TO PERFORM!  We will even put note names on the piano keys for young beginners. 

The registration fee and form are due on October 1st. 

The registration fee is $65 per student. Admission is FREE for all guests!

Students may perform 1-2 pieces. If the piece is very short, the student may take a repeat (discuss with your instructor)

For Vocalists: Piano accompanists will be provided by request. You or your instructor must send the sheet music to Amanda by October 1st. Rehearsals are not required but may be scheduled by request at the rate of $75 per half-hour session.

Students will be seated in the front row in program order and asked to quietly prepare from their seats to take the stage area. Students should walk up the steps to the stage and introduce themselves & the name of their piece before playing. Make sure to smile and take a bow before walking down the steps!  

 

Students should warm-up or tune prior to the start of the recital.

Students should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the recital.

A piano, music stands, microphone, amplifier, and stool will be provided. Performers should bring their own music and instrument (if applicable)

 

Photography and videography are highly encouraged during each recital.

 

Please keep all phones on silent during performances. No talking during performances. Please stay for the entire recital (under 90 minutes)

 

Please only post photos or videos on social media if all in the photo have given permission. Please tag Long Island Music Lessons and Amanda on social media posts.

 

In the event of an emergency, please contact your instructor directly.
